Seton medical center er scribe12/2/2023 Seton is in such sad state of affairs, filing bankruptcy and Newsom kept it open because of Covid. It's now 5:30 pm and expecting an all nighter. These poor people ahead of me are still waiting their turn. It will be a long wait due to 6-7 ambulances that just arrived. The RN called her in to check her vitals and she told us to wait outside til they call her. Great! Just in time for the Omicron variant. Not enough chairs and on top of that, the waiting room was closed off for construction access only. It was around 3:40 pm and there were only 2 clerks in registration. The waiting room was packed and got her registered. I had to take my mom to Seton's ER per her doctor's request today. If not, you are definitely in wrong place. We all have rough days but when you choose a profession in the medical field, everyone deserves to be treated with respect and cared for. All the personnel in duty was across from my room making fun and speaking awful about all the patients. While I understand the ER is usually crowded, here It wasn't. I did not feel cared for, so I asked them discharged me. I was extremely upset at the treatment I was given and the indifference I felt, so I decided to go home. Another hour went by before they came to check on me again and asked if I wanted to stay or go home. An one hour later, another person arrived with 2 pills and left. He said i was going to be given medicine for my pain and left. They did not perform a physical exam on me, and when the nurse finally went inside the room, he stayed there for approximately 2 minutes and didn't show interest when I was explaining my symptoms. Once in the room, they asked me to take my clothes off and wear a gown for nothing. They made me wait hours in the waiting room before I was asked to step into an examination room. I went yesterday night because I was feeling bad and the way they treat their patients is awful. If you have an emergency DO NOT go to this place. If I could give zero stars to this place I would. ![]() When I passed him in the hallway he managed to smile at me Aww which elevated my disgust with how he was being treated. This poor older latino guy on a gurney parked in the hallway was yelling for updates on his condition to no avail. While walking down the hall with a gown on carrying a half full container of urine I was asked by a unfamiliar nurse if I were already discharged and leaving? The attending physician sounded like doctor Phill!Ī white male visitor was allowed to incessantly talk at an annoying loud volume for at least two hours nonstop while I and other actual patients who were trying to rest and recouperte from various maladies were held captive audience to this man's annoying loud uninteresting stories. Not great if your nextdoor or backyard neighbors are in the next bed. What I did not like and have great concerns about is the possible breach of HIPPA privacy there with each patient privy to others private and medical information discussed behind draw curtain away from the next patient. ![]() Our Scribe Alumni Program is designed for those interested in pursuing these connections throughout their career. My experience was better during this reluctant visit due to it being the closest E.R.
